PROFHILO

Profhilo is a specialised form of ultra-pure, concentrated hyaluronic acid that is injected just below the epidermis to provide the skin with moisture to plump and rejuvenate it. It doesn't change the shape of the overlying skin as other fillers are designed to do.​

The face and neck are the usual areas of the body treated, but this can also be used elsewhere - the décolletage, back of hands, abdomen and inner (upper) arms.​​

The procedure takes around 15 minutes and involves several small injections over the area being treated.​​

The effect isn't instant, but instead starts to produce a reaction under the skin where the body makes more collagen and elastin - both normal elements within the skin - to replace that which is missing as we get older. Most people notice the main effect a couple of weeks following the second injection.​

The treatment needs a course of injections - the second around a month later then a booster dose either 3 or 6 months after the second.
